The Gateway Drum is a fairly new smoker that masterfully blends the classic wood and charcoal burning smoker with the control and speed of a convection style smoker. Each barrel is custom made from steel that is a bit thicker than what you’d typically find in a standard barrel resulting in a cooker that is not only more durable but is also better insulated. We started to look into these cookers when we noticed that quite a few professional BBQ Pitmasters are leaving their $10,000 smokers at home and are competing on these instead. These smokers are designed for a hot and fast style of smoking which means that your typical brisket will cook about twice as fast while still getting a phenomenal bark, smoke flavor and tenderness that could rival any low and slow style of smoker.

Each Smoker comes with a rib hanger kit, heat diffuser plate and a thermometer. The 55 gallon barrels can come in a beautiful blue , red or even a custom color with a glossy finish that really shines. The 30 gallon drum comes in a matte black finish.
